The Selangor Turf Club (STC) has announced the commissioning of a major new technological enhancement for its racecourse: a cutting-edge, large-scale outdoor LED display system. This significant investment marks a commitment to elevating the spectator experience, providing unparalleled clarity and engagement for both on-course patrons and the broader racing community.

The new mega-screen, supplied and installed by Shanghai Danacoid Multimedia Technology Co., Ltd., a leading global provider of multimedia technology solutions, is a cornerstone of the Club’s ongoing modernisation programme. The display boasts a massive viewing area of over 152 square meters (52.8m wide x 2.88m high), ensuring highly visible, dynamic content from any vantage point within the grandstand.

Key features of the new LED system include:

• Superior Visual Performance: High-brightness LED modules ensure perfect visibility in direct sunlight, crucial for daytime racing.
• Advanced Content Control: Equipped with a sophisticated mixed splicing processor and multiple input cards (HDMI & SDI), allowing for seamless integration of live feeds, graphics, data, and video from various sources.
• Robust Build & Reliability: Designed specifically for demanding outdoor environments, the system includes a PLC remote power distribution cabinet for stable operation.
• Enhanced Engagement: The screen will serve as the primary platform for displaying real-time racing information, instant replays, finishing orders, parades to the start, and immersive promotional material, significantly enhancing the atmosphere.

The project, encompassing supply, shipping and installation, has been successfully completed. The system’s installation and commissioning were handled by Danacoid’s expert engineers, ensuring optimal performance from its inaugural use.
