Sharee began her career in the MRA racing circuit in 1998 and had worked as a Track Rider under the employment of Jonathan Sargent. Subsequently, she worked as Senior Track Rider with trainers KM Noordin and Cecil Robert.

In 2010 she was upgraded to the status of Stable Supervisor by the MRA. She served as a Stable Supervisor to a number of trainers namely Bonny Ng, Kevin Coetzee and Lim Hoon Seng. On 18 June 2013 whilst still working under Bonny Ng, she obtained her B-Grade Trainer licence.

Sharee was granted a Grade A Trainer Licence by MRA in 2 September 2015. As of todate Sharee has had a total of 24 years of working experience in the racing industry out of which a total of 7 years as a Professional Trainer.

 

With a mother who was a racehorse owner, Charles Leck, was exposed to racehorses from a young age.
After completing a course in horse training in Melbourne, Leck was attached to several trainers in Australia in 1988 before opting for Macau as his first place to launch his career in 1990.
He trained in the former Portuguese enclave from 1992 to 1995, landing the champion trainer title in 1992, 1993 and 1994.
He returned to Singapore in 1996 and did not take long to make his mark on his home turf, bagging many feature wins to eventually pick up his first title in 1998.
He doubled the dose the next year and won a third title in 2003.
Among his major successes his five Lion City Cups take pride of place.
He also claimed other big races like the Raffles Cup, Kranji Mile, Patrons’ Bowl, Queen Elizabeth II Cup, Singapore Guineas, Three Rings Trophy, just to name a few.
Reputed for being a conditioner of sprinters, Leck has prepared many top speedballs such as Ninetyfive Emperor and Superb Effect, but also good milers like Pacific Prince, Chevron and Bon Amie.
After nearly seven years on the sidelines, the racing itch got the better of him and thus decided to undertake a trainers license with the MRA, based in Selangor.

Malaysia’s reigning champion trainer, prominent Selangor Turf Club-based Simon Dunderdale, has made a big impression since arriving in Kuala Lumpur in 2016, immediately making his mark on the Malaysian racing scene.
The commanding premier stable in 2024, Dunderdale trained 73 winners, 26 clear of his nearest rival, at an impressive strike rate of 20.8 per cent. His dominance was further demonstrated by the fact he twice had four winners on a day and also prepared five winners at a Selangor meeting in 2024.
Dunderdale has leveraged his experience working in numerous countries, starting in his native New Zealand before crossing the Tasman to work in Australia in the 1990s. He subsequently ventured to England, Germany, Ireland, Japan and Macau to further his hands-on knowledge of the racing industry, which led him to taking out his own trainer’s licence in Turkey in the early 2000s.
A chance opportunity prompted Dunderdale to relocate to Kuala Lumpur at the end of 2016 and in the years since he has worked his way up the Malaysian training ranks with a results-driven approach. He has prided himself on a high winning strike-rate, achieving the best win percentage in 2022 and 2023, while his Tearra Racing stable has also won a batch of Malaysia’s signature races.
They include the 2022 Tunku Gold Cup with Awesome Storm, who is consistently Malaysia’s highest-rated horse having also won six straight races. In 2023, Dunderdale was successful in winning the Group 1 Coronation Cup, the Sports Toto Cup and the Charity Cup with Good Fight as well as the Selangor Gold Cup with Pasir Pinji. He has also trained the winner of the 2017 Group 1 Perak Derby with Fortunique.
Dunderdale has 60 horses in training at Selangor Turf Club.

A former successful jockey Richard Lines has held a trainers licence in Malaysia since 2002. In his first season Richard trained 16 winners and has consistently figured in the top group of trainers in Malaysia ever since. Richards best season came in 2012 when he claimed the Malaysian Trainers Championship with 74 winners.
In 2011 Richard not only won the Trainers Championship but his horse Tears To Diamonds also won Horse Of The Year honours after winning five races in a row culminating with a win in the Group 1 Penang Gold Cup. Ever since then, there was no turning back for Richard Lines who went on to conquer the Malaysia racing scene for 11 straight  years.

Singaporean Sukri learned his training trade under the guidance of champion trainer Lee Freedman and John Sadler in Melbourne Australia in the late 1990’s before working as a B trainer for Bernard Ng between 1999 – 2004 and eventually taking out his own trainers licence in 2004.
Since taking out his licence in 2004 Sukri has featured in the top 10 trainers list 5 times with his best season coming in 2005 with 30 winners for the year and in 2011 Sukri trained 30 winners and finished 6th on the Malaysian Trainers table.
Sukri’s horse Ishbiliya was the first horse to win the Malaysian 3 year old series in 2007 and the Northern Hemisphere 3 year old Series with Summer Promise in 2008.
Sukri follows the form as closely as any trainer and has a reputation as an expect form student.

Johnny Lim has held a trainers licence in Malaysia since 2007 after working with Mohd Sukri as a B trainer between 2004 – 2007. In his first season Johnny trained 14 winners, since then Johnny has featured in the top 10 trainers list every year with his best season in 2008 when he won the Championship with 71 winners and backed it up a year later by winning the Championship again with 58 winners in 2009.
Johnny has trained over 200 winners in his career and many Group 1 winners.
Johnny has trained 10 winners at a four day meeting three times and rates that very highly on his list of achievements.

Jerome Tan started out as a syce with Penang trainer Cecil Robert in 1998, working his way up to reach the position of stable supervisor. In 2005, The Singaporean obtained his assistant-trainer’s licence, and joined ex-Kranji trainer Tan Hor Khoon, before transferring to another former Kranji trainer Lionel Lee.

Tan then switched to trainer Roslan Pawanteh for a few months before he was granted a trainer’s licence on June 23, 2009. Based in Penang for the last 10 years, he has 190 winners to his name there, with his highest acclaim coming in the Perak Derby with Mr Ambassador in 2012.

He officially began training at Kranji on 1 January 2019.

At 39 years old Wayne Lim is one of the youngest and hard working trainers in Kuala Lumpur. Wayne commenced his career in the racing industry in 1998 working as a Stable Hand before taking out a track riders licence. Wayne then spend four years working as Stable Supervisor and five years as a B trainer for Abdul Rahim before taking out his trainers licence in 2012. In his first season of training Wayne has had 9 winners so far. Wayne trains many horses for the well known Gold Plus syndicate.
