Jockey T See was fined RM250/- under MRA Rule 107(10) as he was unable to make the carded weight.

From the 250M, THUNDEROUS (M Lerner) was carried out significantly on multiple occasions by CINNAMON BLAZE (SU Lim) which shifted out away the whip.

A race review was called into this incident, which was followed by an objection being lodged by Trainer S Dunderdale, the Trainer of the second placed horse, THUNDEROUS, against the winner, CINNAMON BLAZE on the grounds of interference at the 250M.

After considering the evidence in this matter, the Panel of Stewards were satisfied that THUNDEROUS would have finished ahead of CINNAMON BLAZE if the incident had not occurred. Therefore the objection was upheld and the Judge’s result was amended to read:

Trainer D Kok was questioned regarding the poor performance of PACIFIC ANGEL in its last run. He explained that the wide draw and extended distance were contributing factors. Despite drawing wide again today, the mare is better suited to the 1000M and accordingly returned to its previous consistent performance form over this distance.

GENERAL REPORT(S) – SLTC

TUESDAY, 27 MAY 2025, SLTC TRACKWORK

Trainer BT Lim was fined RM250/- negligence under MRA Rule 152(5)(a) for galloping ROCKET GENERAL on Track II, which was designated only for white cloth saddle number horses, during the above trackwork.

RACE 2 (R0330) CLASS 5A – 1300M (LC A6), SATURDAY, 17 MAY 2025, SELANGOR TURF CLUB MAY MEETING 2025

At the conclusion of an inquiry, Jockey M Lerner, the rider of SCHNEIDER, pleaded guilty to a charge under MRA Rule 44(6) in that he failed to ride his horse out to the end of the race to the satisfaction of the Stewards. Jockey M Lerner was suspended from riding in races for a period of one (1) month, with effect from 2 June 2025 and to expire on 1 July 2025, both dates inclusive.

RACE 7 (R0346) RESTRICTED MAIDEN – 1200M (SC A), SUNDAY, 18 MAY 2025, SELANGOR TURF CLUB MAY MEETING 2025

At the conclusion of an inquiry, Jockey WW Cheah, the rider of CLOUT, was found guilty of charge of reckless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(i) in that his riding of CLOUT was determined to be reckless by the Stewards.

In assessing the penalty, the Stewards took into consideration Jockey WW Cheah’s mitigating factors, previous riding record and his submissions on penalty. He was suspended from riding in races for a period of one (1) month with effect from 2 June 2025 and to expire on 1 July 2025, both dates inclusive. He was also fined RM10,000/- He was advised of his Right of Appeal.
