VISIT M’SIA – MELAKA – HISTORICAL MONUMENT THE STADTHUYS STAKES

This race was rescheduled to start at 2:15pm.

2	PACIFIC SKY (PH Seow)	Hung in from the 400M to the 200M, proving difficult to assist.
5	MIST THE DEDLINE (CK Khaw)	Slow to begin. Raced wide in the early stages. Tightened between the 350M and 300M and had to ease.
7	DOUBLE YOU OWE (J De Souza)	Rolled in at the 350M and then again at the 300M.
8	SALAM SIXTY-ONE (O Chavez)	Raced wide throughout.
9	IMPERIAL WAVE (SU Lim)	Raced wide in the early stages.

App G Farhan who rode his 10^th winner on BANKER’S TWO SIX in this race, would only be entitled to claim 3kgs allowance as from Monday, 26 January 2026.

RACE 6 (R0075) CLASS 4A – 1400M (LC A)

VISIT M’SIA – MELAKA – HISTORICAL FORTRESS A FAMOSA STAKES

This race was rescheduled to start at 2:45pm.

4	ELLIOT NESS (App Z Syafifie)	Raced wide throughout. Shifted in at the 900M. *(See Report) Jockey was fined RM250/- under MRA Rule 41(6)(c)(i) for using his whip forward of the shoulder.

6	RED JADE (R Shafiq)	Tightened and clipped heels at the 900M. *(See Report) Jockey was examined by the Club Doctor who subsequently stood him down from his riding engagements for his remainder rides.

At the conclusion of an inquiry, App Z Syafifie, the rider of ELLIOT NESS, in the presence of his Acting Employing Trainer, K Ananthen, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that whilst riding ELLIOT NESS, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to RED JADE, RED DRAGONFLY and PACIFIC SILVER at the 900M.

In assessing the penalty, the Stewards took into consideration App Z Syafifie’s guilty plea, mitigating factors, previous riding record and his submissions on penalty. He was suspended from riding in races for a period of two (2) Malaysian race days to be deferred, with effect from 2 February 2026 and to expire on 8 February 2026, both dates inclusive. He was advised of his Right of Appeal.

App Z Syafifie was also advised that should he appear before the Panel under similar circumstances in future, more severe sanction would follow.

At the conclusion of an inquiry, Jockey KC Wong, the rider of MEGA VALOR, pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under MRA Rule 44(9)(a)(ii) in that whilst riding MEGA VALOR, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to SKY KING, MAXIMUS PEGASUS and NORTHAM CAFÉ between the 1300M and the 1100M.

In assessing the penalty, the Stewards took into consideration Jockey KC Wong’s guilty plea, mitigating factors, previous riding record and his submissions on penalty. He was suspended from riding in races for a period of one (1) Malaysian race day with effect from 26 January 2026 and to expire on 1 February 2026, both dates inclusive. In lieu of two (2) Malaysian race days, he was also fined RM3,500/-. He was advised of his Right of Appeal.

This race was rescheduled to start at 3:50pm.

6	BANKER’S EMPEROR (R Nuqman)	Raced wide throughout. Jockey R Nuqman and Trainer BT Lim were questioned by the Panel of Stewards regarding the jockey’s ride on BANKER’S EMPEROR. Jockey R Nuqman was cautioned regarding the inconsistency of his riding. Trainer BT Lim was also cautioned by the Panel.

A review of the start was conducted, for horses PACIFIC GENERAL (PH Seow) from Barrier 3 and KONG FU PANDA (App H Haikal) from Barrier 9.

In this regard, it was established that with regards to PACIFIC GENERAL, this gelding had thrown its head down as the start was effected, which resulted in it making contact with the gate and unbalancing Jockey PH Seow.

With regards to KONG FU PANDA, it was established that as the start was effected, this gelding reared up in its stall and jumped out, unbalancing App H Haikal.

After reviewing the video footage and considering that any distance lost by these horses was as a consequence of their own behaviours, the Stewards deemed both horses to be runners.

The Stewards, on Sunday, 25 January 2026 at SLTC, concluded an inquiry into the running and handling of KIM GENERAL and took evidence from App Z Syafifie, the rider of KIM GENERAL.

After reviewing the films of the incident and considering the evidence tendered, the Stewards decided to take no further action, however, highlighted the inconsistency of his riding.
